Sunny sunday afternoon in Korcula

How amazing is the weather at the moment? After the cold and snowy winter (well Korcula just had a few flakes but that’s enough for a sunshine island), we are now basking in glorious sun. Not that I’m wanting rain, but I do think the plants deserve a drop before summer kicks in and hopefully we then won’t see rain clouds during the sunny months. Whilst the rain keeps away we are making the most of the weather.

Setting off for a gentle sunday stroll yesterday afternoon, first ice-cream of the year in our hands, we plodded along one of the numerous marked trails on Korcula. Never ones to turn around or walk back the same way, the sunday stroll soon turned into a few kilometres as the path kept going! No complaints however, a beautiful day to walk amongst a beautiful landscape. We weren’t the only ones out – we were joined by small groups of women suspiciously crawling between bushes and curiously poking under shrubs. Why? Well it’s wild asparagus season and knowing where to find them is a guarded secret and people aren’t willing to reveal the growing spots!

Here’s a few snaps of our day. How did you spend your sunday, hopefully it was a sunny day for you to?
